Climate change may be putting millions more people at risk from an infection-causing fungi, which is likely spreading due to warming global temperatures, scientists say.
Scientists mapped the effects of rising temperatures on global distribution of three infection-causing fungi under different climate scenarios through 2100: Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus fumigatus and Aspergillus niger, according to the paper, which has been published on preprint platform Research Square and not yet been peer-reviewed.
Aspergillus, a fungal mold that thrives in warm, damp climates, is already found worldwide — including in the U.S. — and can impact humans, animals, livestock and plants.

BREAKING: The man suspected of the Minnesota lawmaker shootings was arrested Sunday, multiple sources confirmed to ABC News.
Vance Boelter, 57, was arrested near his farm in Green Isle, Minnesota. He was spotted on a trail via camera earlier Sunday and then taken into custody, sources said.
He is accused of the fatal shootings of Minnesota state Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband, and a separate shooting attack on another state lawmaker and his spouse.

The death toll in Israel from Sunday night's Iranian ballistic missile strikes rose to five people as of Monday morning, authorities said, as recovery efforts at impact sites continue.
At least 24 people have now been killed in Israel since the country launched its surprise attack on Iran on Friday, according to the latest figures released by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office on Monday.
