LATEST: The suspect in the fatal shooting of two Israeli embassy staff members outside of an event at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, shouted "Free, Free Palestine" after being taken into custody, authorities said.
One man and one woman — both staff members at the Israeli Embassy — were shot and killed as they exited an event on Wednesday night, officials said.
The suspect, identified as a 30-year-old man from Chicago, was promptly taken into custody at the scene and is being questioned by police.
