Costa Rican officials suspect the 14-year-old son of former New York Yankees player Brett Gardner died from possible "food intoxication" while vacationing with his family.
Officials said in a statement to ABC News that suspect that Miller Gardner died from possible asphyxiation from a reaction to food.
The officials said the final toxicology reports still need to be completed to finish their autopsy and that the food Gardner may have eaten or drank that made him ill has not been released.
