Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker on Sunday responded after President Trump said he ”should be in jail for failing to protect Ice Officers!" as Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson oppose Trump's stated effort to deploy National Guard troops to the city to crack down on crime and aid in immigration policing.
“Come and get me,” Pritzker said, responding to Trump.
Vice President JD Vance, in an earlier "This Week" interview, wouldn’t say flatly whether Pritzker had committed a crime but said he had failed to protect the safety of Chicagoans and “has violated his fundamental oath of office” which “seems pretty criminal.”
Pritzker told George Stephanopoulos that he was “not afraid” of Trump’s threats, which have ramped up recently against many of the president’s political foes, including former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James.
